About
Brian Su is a Toronto-based visual development artist with over 15 years in feature animation, television, and games. He works across concept design, matte painting, colour scripting, and lighting, usually stepping in early in pre-production to help define how a project should look and feel.
He's worked with studios like Industrial Brothers, GURU Studio, Nelvana, and Awesometown Entertainment, with credits including Daniel Spellbound (Netflix), Corn and Peg (Nickelodeon), My Magic Pet Morphle, and Tabaluga. His background is rooted in traditional painting, composition, light, and colour, and he's carried that into modern pipelines using Unreal Engine, Blender, and Houdini.
Outside of studio work, he runs an independent hardware design practice, applying the same design instincts to product and brand work.
Based in Toronto. Available for film, animation, and game productions, short-term or long-term.
